Kathy Smith - President & Senior Partner
Kathy has over 15 years of progressive HR experience in all HR practices. Prior to launching HR Service Team, Kathy was a Senior Director providing strategy, direction and oversight for the global benefits, compensation & remuneration, systems and payroll for a multinational, publicly traded technology company.
“I did not start my career in HR but worked as a Program Manager in the defense industry. I have a BS degree in Business and Master of Arts in Industrial Relations (MAIR) from the Carlson School of Management – University of Minnesota. My desire to be a business partner implementing HR Best Practices supporting both employees and the company drew me to a Human Resources career. Obtaining my MAIR deepened and enhanced my business competencies. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I have a passion for Human Resources.
I have worked in every area of Human Resources from creating an HR department to rebuilding business processes that were not properly working. I have the research sense of a librarian because what I do not know, I will find out."
